Youth employment in agrifood systems featured in ECDPM

Authors from Michigan State University have been featured in the latest issue of GREAT Insights published by ECDPM.

Andrea Allen, Julie Howard, M. Kondo, Amy Jamison, Thomas Jayne, J. Snyder, David Tschirley and Kwame Felix Yeboah have authored the article, "Youth employment opportunities in African agrifood systems," which focuses on the potential of rapidly transforming agrifood systems. Transformation can drive the expansion of youth employment and broad-based economic development in sub-Saharan Africa. Focusing on Nigeria, Rwanda, and Tanzania, the article highlights the most promising opportunities and needed policy and program changes.
 
The European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) is an independent 'think and do tank' working on international cooperation and development policy in Europe and Africa.
