Though Spartans may think of East Lansing as home, they work, travel, learn and live all over the world, and they are invited to share their international experiences by submitting a photo to the Global Focus international photography competition.

Now in its 20th year, Global Focus has featured hundreds of striking images captured through the lenses of amateur MSU photographers. The contest is hosted by MSU International Studies and Programs, and aims to encourage international engagement by highlighting the unique perspectives of global Spartans.

MSU alumni, students, staff and faculty can enter the competition by submitting up to three photos taken outside the United States. A panel of judges will select winners in the student, faculty/staff, and alumni categories. People’s Choice voting for entries in each category will begin on November 4, and winners will be announced on November 20 during International Education Week. Winning photos are showcased in the lobby of the International Center, published on the ISP website, and highlighted on social media. Learn more and enter the contest by November 3 at  isp.msu.edu/globalfocus.
